Changes to Employment Tribunal rules

 Charging claimants (since 29th July 2013)

     ·         for routine claims £160 to lodge the claim  and £230 for a hearing
     ·         for unfair dismissal, discrimination etc. £250 to lodge and £950 for a hearing
     ·         for multiple claimant cases:
           -      1-10 claimants twice the single claim fees,
            -       11-200 claimants 4 times the single claim and
            -       Over 200 claimants 6 times the single claim.

Minimum wage increases from October 1st 2013

From 1 October 2013, the adult minimum wage rate will increase from £6.19 to £6.31 an hour, the Youth rate will become £3.72 an hour. The Apprentice Rate will be £2.68 per hour. This rate is only for apprentices up to age 19 and / or those aged over 19 in their first apprenticeship year.
